MAZDA RX-85/R100

Mazda RX-85 Concept, 1967. A prototype for the second generation Familia coupe, which was the first and only Familia generation to be offered with a rotary engine. The rotary Familia was marketed internationally as the R100 (it was powered by a 100hp 982cc 10A Wankel engine). It remained in production until 1973 when the Savanna GS2 Coupe replaced it. (Marketed internationally as the RX-3.) Familia Rotary Coupe won its debut race at the 1969 Singapore Grand Prix Touring Car Race.
